Short and Long Term Disability
Short and Long Term Disability are available to benefits eligible partners to provide partial pay replacement if you are unable to work for an extended period of time due to an eligible injury or illness.
- Short Term Disability (STD) provides you with continued, partial income if you can’t work due to a non-work-related, total medical disability. Coverage details vary for retail hourly partners and retail salaried and non-retail partners. All benefits eligible partners are automatically covered, and the cost is paid by Starbucks.
- Long Term Disability (LTD) is available only to salaried partners. It provides you with continued, partial income replacement for eligible conditions extending beyond STD. All benefits eligible retail salaried and non-retail partners are automatically covered, and the cost is paid by Starbucks.
For Current Starbucks Partners
You must be on a Medical Leave of Absence to apply for STD or LTD.
